Expository Essays: Role of Advertising on Youth
Graphic Organizers and Source lists were handed out today for students to begin their expository essays on The Role of Advertising on Youth. Final Drafts are due Monday, February 13.
Sorry about the delay in regard to my blog. My primary goal after the snow days was to make sure students complete their district writing assessment. Most students completed the task and grades for all classes are up to date. Our lesson plans are attached below.
No School today, but this week we will jump into Unit 2 of Springboard, which is focused on the affects of advertising on youth.
Throughout the week I will be posting 300 point grades for the district writing assessment which was supposed to take students three class periods to complete. I still have a number of students that have not finished after six class period and numerous attempts at bringing them in at lunchtime to finish.
If you see a zero posted for the Narrative Myth Assessment, it hasn't been finished. It is the student's responsibility to come in to my room and complete it during lunch of after school during SUN.
The goal this week is to complete the district writing assessment which involves writing a narrative myth. This will be an on demand task in class.
Trimester 2 has officially begun. Next week students will begin formulating and drafting an original narrative myth. Lesson plans for this week are attached below.
